Who Are You?

I’m Sam, a self-taught lyre harp player who loves sharing my passion with others. My goal is to provide you with the resources and inspiration you need on your musical journey!

Your Story?

I’ve always loved music. As a child, I’d stop everything I do when a song came on the radio and listen intensely. I’d play on my little piano that had like 10 keys for hours and hours until the coin battery died.

Several years ago, I came across an interesting instrument called the lyre harp and decided to learn it! Much to my surprise, I couldn’t find a teacher anywhere in my city, or many free online resources to help me learn.

I experimented with the instrument on my own and created my first YouTube video, sharing the notes and tips I discovered. To my surprise, many people found them useful!

As I continued to learn and play new songs, I added more videos to my channel. Over time, I gained first-hand experience with different lyre harp designs, and learned how to overcome various issues that can arise with playing the instrument and what you can do about them.

What Do You Love Most About Playing the Lyre?

Knowing that I’m making a positive impact in people’s lives!

I receive messages almost every day sharing how my videos have brought joy and made things easy. For example, a kind-hearted individual learned my songs and played them for babies in the NICU, while another disabled student played them at his graduation. And people have shared how my videos reminded them of beautiful memories with family members who passed. How can I not love that?

I’m also grateful for the kindred spirits I’ve met along the way. We raise each other up. It’s been amazing!
